How will Organic and Related Eco-Labels Evolve in 2013?
The food industry will face many challenges this new year:
rising raw material costs, food inflation, overcoming food
insecurity, GM-labeling, tackling waste, reducing carbon
emissions, greater traceability, rising retailer
expectations, etc.
What is the outlook for organic foods in the changing
environment? How will organic and other eco-labels evolve in a
food industry that is struggling to contain costs whilst looking
to raise production levels? How do eco-labeled products meet
the ever-changing needs of consumers?
Such questions will be addressed at the next edition of the
Sustainable Foods Summit. Taking place in San Francisco on 22-23rd
January, the summit discusses the evolution of eco-labels and
sustainability in the food industry.
